Professor Eugenio Mijangos visits GNOM

Professor Eugenio Mijangos, from the Dept. of Applied Mathematics, Statistics and Operations Research, Pais Vasco, will be visiting our group during the last week of April. Professor Mijangos is working on the development of specialised algorithms to solve large-scale nonlinear mixed stochastic programming problems that arises in the modelization of electricity markets.

This part of his research is being developed under the Research project DPI2008-02153, Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation, and will be presented in the EURO XXIV Congress to be held next July in Lisbon.
